Hi, I’m Cassie Hawrysh—a multi-sport athlete, coach, speaker, and storyteller who believes in pushing limits and embracing reinvention. Born and raised in Brandon, Manitoba, my journey has taken me from volleyball courts and track fields to the Skeleton World Cup and the Olympic stage.
As a Team Canada Skeleton Racer – I was National Champion and Olympic Alternate for Sochi 2014. I know what it takes to perform at the highest level—the dedication, resilience, and mindset required to chase big goals. Since retiring from competition, I’ve coached elite and developing athletes, and I currently help lead an incredible 13U Women’s Club Volleyball team. Off the court, I’m the Manager of Marketing and Communications for a provincial sport organization, where I continue to elevate the power of sport.
Beyond competition and coaching, I founded CassEffect Inc., a platform dedicated to high-performance mindset, leadership, and personal growth. I also host a podcast, There Were Signs—about recognizing the moments, connections, and lessons in life that guide us—and how paying attention to them can lead us exactly where we need to be. And because I love a challenge, I continue to push my own boundaries training through Muay Thai Kickboxing.
Through keynote speaking, workshops, and coaching, I help individuals and teams build confidence, shift perspectives, and embrace challenges head-on. Whether in sport, business, or life, I believe success comes from bold decisions, relentless effort, and the courage to evolve.
Let’s dream bigger, push harder, and go further—together.
I’ve never been one to wait for permission. From a young age, I learned that success isn’t handed to you—you have to push forward even when the path is unclear.
My journey has been one of reinvention. From a national-level volleyball and track athlete to an Olympic Skeleton racer, from a sports broadcaster to a coach and entrepreneur, and now into Muay Thai Kickboxing and leadership in sport marketing, I’ve never let comfort dictate my next move.
Along the way, I’ve learned that mindset is the ultimate game-changer—whether you’re chasing Olympic dreams, pivoting careers, or stepping into the unknown. That’s why I’m passionate about helping others push past their own limits and build the confidence to take bold steps forward.
